Ubisoft's Watch Dogs finally has a confirmed release date, and a new trailer...

After several leaks and unconfirmed snippets of information, Ubisoft has finally ended the silence and has revealed the release date for the highly anticipated Watch Dogs.

May 27 is the red letter day for gamers hankering to do a little sandbox hacking, and you can pre-order the game now if you haven't already. The date was leaked ahead of the official announcement on Game's Twitter account, and on, but has now been officially confirmed in a statement by Ubisoft.

This date is further confirmed in the below trailer, which reveals more of the story of the game, including Aiden's motivations for his hacking spree across Chicago, and the larger-scale threat he's stumbled into.

The May 27 launch is for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC versions of the game. The Wii U version will be released at a later date, probably partly to avoid clashing with the release of Mario Kart 8.

So, there is a light at the end of the tunnel for Watch Dogs, and there's not that much longer to wait. For now, have a look at the new trailer.

FINALLY! Been waiting for this for what seems like forever. Can. Not. Wait!

See, THIS is how you release a game, you wait until its done THEN put it on shelves, EA take note.

like EA's going to listen...
You announce a release date, put a trailer of footage from some other game and then start making it, cutting whatever corners you can cut. That's how you release a game!

Sadly you're absolutely spot on. That said I've been blasting titanfall all day and it's been smooth as you like
