Minecraft creator releases Shambles
The creator of Minecraft, Notch, has released a quick and dirty zombie FPS called Shambles...
As part of the 7DFPS event, which challenged coders to produce a new FPS in only seven days, father of Mninecraft, Notch, has created Shambles, a zombie-killing FPS that can be played in your browser (after installation of the Unity Web Player).
The game is impressive for a seven day project, and is a sort of Left 4 Dead meets Smash TV affair. Endless waves of zombies and soldiers mooch around the world and you have to kill everything you see, collecting ammo from dead cops and health packs from fallen civilian zombies. Yellow orbs are collected for points, and you can even find multiple weapons.
Of course, for a game developed in seven days, it's not the most polished title you'll ever see, even in the realm of online games, and there's poor animation, collision detection and little to no balancing, but it's all good fun.
You can play the game via the link below, and you can also visit the 7DFPS site to see more of the FPS games created for it.
