PlayStation 4 video recording will be free for all
Sony's PS4 video recording function won't require PS Plus subscriptions, unlike Microsoft's option...
It was recently revealed that the Xbox One's DVR functionality will require an gold Xbox Live membership in order to be used. Gamers with a silver membership won't be able to make use of the video recording functions of the unit.
Flying in the face of this, Sony has confirmed, via Twitter, that the PS4 will have no such limitation, and the video recording will be available to everyone.
When asked if the video recording will require a PS Plus subscription, Sony Worldwide Studios president, Shuhei Yoshida, simply replied, “No.”

It's another one up on the Xbox One, but don't forget that PS Plus will be required if you want to play games with others on the PS4. The membership will still reward subscribers with free games, though.
The PlayStation 4 is due to arrive this December for $399 in the US and £349 in the UK.
