Mass Effect Trilogy could get current gen overhaul

BioWare may be considering a remaster of the Mass Effect Trilogy for Xbox One and PS4...

The Mass Effect Trilogy, one of the best action RPG series of recent years, could end up in remastered form on the current generation Xbox One and PS4 consoles. Responding to a fan post about a possible Xbox One and PS4 version on Twitter, GM for BioWare's Edmonton & Montreal studios, Aaryn Flynn, stated that internal discussions about the possibility have occurred, and plans could come to fruition, in which case the developer will make an official announcement.

Mass Effect 4 is currently in development at the studio, and a re-release of the original trilogy on Xbox One and PS4 would certainly rebuild series hype ahead of the next release, so it's quite possible. Mass Effect was always a great-looking title, so it would be interesting to see what a current gen version would look like, although new content would be unlikely.

I never finished the third one, I got quite bored and something else took it's place. They'd need to improve the combat on the 3rd, It looked pretty but clearly the best combination was Singularity-throw. It's probably my fault. I should have picked a different class to my Mass Effect 2 game.

DLC...DLC Everywhere

I'd rather have KoToR or Jade Empire redone.

So ME4 is a going to be next gen then.

I truly, truly love the Mass Effect series, what a journey it is.

Yeah I'd love that ending of Mass Effect 3 on my xbox one so can feel that crushing disappointment all over again.

One of my favourite trilogies. Would definitely be incentive to get a next gen console for me.

You can pick up KoToR on the app store for 3 quid for your iPad, actually, sorry, for your brand specific tablet, well worth it and a pleasure to play through again.

I Don't have any tablets....
