GOG.com launches indie developer portal
GOG.com continues to expand its portfolio with a new submission portal for indie game developers...
Although GOG.com is known mostly for resurrecting classics from gaming's past and making them work on current hardware, it's also been expanding into more recent releases, such as indie games. Titles like Rise of the Triad, FTL, Hotline Miami, Amnesia, Divinity: Dragon Commander, and more have all been offered on the site, and now GOG plans to make it even easier for small-scale devs via a new portal.
Gog.com/indie is the new portal that offers a very attractive package to developers, such as an advance on royalties, featured promotions, and full support and feedback, all with the site's ever-present focus on DRM-free distribution. GOG will take the industry standard 70/30 share of any profits, or a 60/40 share if royalties are advanced.
Game submission is as simple as filling in an online form, and you can watch a few statements from indie devs already happy with the GOG.com package below.
So, if you're a budding indie developer and need a way to get your name and game out there, you may want to give GOG.com a visit via the link below.
