Epic Games' senior producer, Chris Wynn is headed to BioWare to work on Mass Effect...

As the latest in a long line of departures from Epic Games, senior producer Chris Wynn has announced via Twitter that he's leaving to work with BioWare on the next Mass Effect title.

Tweeting “Thrilled to announce that I will be joining @Bioware as the Sr. Development Director on the next Mass Effect!” Chris Wynn says goodbye to the studio that brought us the Gears of War series, where Wynn worked as producer of latest Gears entry, Gears of War: Judgement. He'll now be heading up the next Mass Effect as senior development director.

So far, the next Mass Effect title is yet to be revealed, but many fans have already stated their fears that Wynn's involvement means the upcoming Mass Effect instalment will move the sci-fi epic even further away from the game's complex RPG nature towards yet another bromace-filled third person shooter.

The new Mass Effect will also ditch Epic's Unreal Engine in favour of Frostbite 3, and will share many core systems with stable-mate, Dragon Age 3: Inquisition.
