Bungie has released 12 minutes of E3 gameplay footage of its upcoming Destiny...

Bungie's next title, Destiny, had a good showing at E3 and below you can see the 12 minute gameplay footage that depicts a co-op insertion into a Russian wasteland.

The video, which is sadly tainted by chatter that'll make you wince, shows that Bungie isn't straying all that far from Halo, but is keen to inject some new tricks and features into the tried and tested formula left by the Master Chief.

Co-op play is the name of the game here, as the player meets up with friends and takes on legion of foes, culminating in a pitched battle against a wave of drop ships and heavy armour. This public event demonstrates the unique online functionality Destiny will feature. The game will also feature upgradeable weapons, with each having a specialised skill tree, and players can revive fallen team mates.

Destiny is set on an Earth besieged by an alien force, and players control Guardians, elite warriors who defend the last human city from the alien threat. It's set to arrive in 2014 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
