Deep Down PS4 trailer
Deep Down has a trailer, which was shown as part of the Sony Computer Entertainment Japan conference, and here it is...
Capcom's Deep Down is one of the more mysterious PS4 exclusives we know about so far, and little is known about it other than it being some form of online-centric title featuring armour-clad knights, dragons and other medieval-style beasties.
Well, a little more is known now, thanks to a trailer shown during the recent Sony Computer Entertainment Japan conference. Capcom has confirmed the game isn't set in the past, but instead takes place in 2094 in New York.
Quite why knights with swords and shields are fighting dragons in 21st century New York isn't clear, nor is the actual gameplay style, but the trailer certainly seems more than a little similar to From Software's Dark Souls, and as it's an online title, it wouldn't be all that surprising if Capcom was trying to emulate the winning formula of the notoriously tough action RPG. Some have postulated an Assassin’s Creed style, flashback-laden story, but at this point, it's all just guesswork.
Some known features of the game above and beyond the online play will include randomly generated maps, including random weapon and equipment.
We'll bring you more details as they emerge, of course, with more promised at the Tokyo Game Show, but for now have a look at the trailer below.
