Darksiders still lives

The Darksiders series isn't dead, according to designer, Joe Madureira...

When THQ was taken apart piece by piece following its demise, the Darksiders series wasn't one of the IPs that instantly flew off the shelves. The IP eventually ended up with Nordic games, but nothing has been said about the action RPG series since, leading many to believe the series is dead and buried.

According to a Facebook post by illustrator and designer, Joe Madureira, this isn't the case. In his post, where he answers a collection of questions, he states “Darksiders-- DS is not dead!!! The new owner, Nordic seems very committed to continuing the series. As far as my involvement, I can't say at this point. Hopefully we will all have exciting news about the franchise soon!!!!!!”

This will come as welcome news to series fans, but we'll have to wait for some official confirmation, possibly at this year's E3, you never know. With a little luck, we may finally get to see the other two horsemen of the apocalypse in action.

This is good news. I loved the first two games, which were fun, incredibly long (for action adventures, at least) and had great art direction. Hope to be able to play the other two horsemen in the future.

This is good news!

Great games that deserve to be carried on!
