Dark Souls 2 release date announced
From Software has confirmed the release date for the highly anticipated Dark Souls 2...
If you're an RPG fan that likes a challenge, than you're no doubt already very familiar with From Software's 'Souls series. It began with the breakout hit, Demon's Souls, on the PS3 and continued spiritually with 2011's Dark Souls.
Dark Souls refined the already great template with a more intricate, interconnected open world and many improvements in combat, design and online functionality. Oh, and it was just as, if not more difficult than the first game, the overriding hallmark of the action-RPG series.
Some may still be desperately trying to finish Dark Souls, and if that's you, then you'd better hurry, as Dark Souls 2 is coming soon. In fact, we now know exactly when, as From Software has announced the official release dates.
Dark Souls 2 will release for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in the US on March 11 and in Europe on March 14 next year, with a PC edition following shortly thereafter.
Alongside the normal game release, Dark Souls 2 will ship in two different limited editions. These include Dark Souls 2 Collector's Edition and the Black Armour Edition.
The former of the two special versions will include the game along with a 12-inch White Knight figure and art book. The Black Armour Edition will ship to all who pre-order the game, and comes in a metal case with the game's OST.
