Reveal trailer lands for Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare

Trailer Ryan Lambie 2 May 2014 - 08:36

Futuristic armour. Explosions. Kevin Spacey? It's the reveal trailer for Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare...

The campaign trailer for this year's Call Of Duty sequel has officially begun. Kevin Spacey's dryly charismatic voice (and digitised visage) provide the anchor for the latest bout of shooting and widescreen action, and this time, there's more than a hint of Neill Blomkamp's Elysium to be seen here. From the mechanised power suits to the composition of certain shots, the influence of last year's Matt Damon-starring sci-fi film are easy to see - we just need Sharlto Copley to swing in and shout, "It's just a flesh wound!"

We'll have to wait and see how the game actually plays, but in terms of explosions and weaponry, Advanced Warfare looks every inch the swaggering blockbuster we'd expect.

Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare is out on the 4th November for computers and console boxes.

Well that just looks terrible... What is happening to COD

I think i'll play this one!

Is this what happens when President Frank Underwood takes power?

This looks decent. I'm remaining cautiously optimistic. I won't get it on release day though, I'll wait a few months and see if it's any good. That's if it's on last gen consoles.

chopers from avatar. choper-tank explosion by touching the wristwaych on hand, exosceleton from elysium. jetpack scene and robot suite from that recent titans game. douche politic from house of cards.

This looks good, much better than Ghosts, plus there's Kevin Spacey in it!

Yay for another 3 hour mediocre single player campaign...

Looks good but I was really hoping they would take it back to world war II! COD 2 was epic at the time

So Battlefield 2142 lite then? Will they be adding a photo-realistic goldfish to play in this one?

Aliens: Colonial Marines looked good from the trailer.

I'll wait till I see some game play.

So it came out like a month ago? Bit late for a trailer isn't it?

Oh I'm hilarious.

My judgement is reserved.
I have no interest in competing with hormonal teenagers in an online inanity of death and respawn.
I'll wait for reviews of the single player campaign before I decide to invest or not.

So CoD went from cutting edge but real existing weaponry and equipment to hover bikes? now all we need is the scout stormtroopers on 74z speeder bikes , sheesh next CoD you can use telekinesis and you have a sword made out of a laser beam -.-

Looks like another CoD I won't be purchasing, they've really been saving me money the past few years, keep up the good work!

That just looked like lots of uncontrollable cut scenes from the game, which is by far the thing I hate most about them.

This is what Yahtzee of Zero Punctuation calls a "spunk-gargle-wee-wee" game. I think because they are all so samey and so copied that they just become all a mass of racist, America paranoia shooters that they just blur together... or maybe Yahtzee explains it better.

If they were going to go all future on us, they should have done it properly. Laser guns and robots set two hundred years from now, in for a penny, in for a pound.

I think the only way is down for the CoD series now especially if they keep doing the same stuff over and over, which they will do for the next few years at least because it makes them so much money. The only way it can get back up is to either go extreme past or future, something like Civil War era or go to the future and do the same thing, but on the moon or something.

I'll wait for a review on the campaign before i buy as i lost interest with COD online
Also be nice if they did another old fashioned war game instead of modern/futuristic war every game
