Assassin's Creed: Unity officially revealed
It previously leaked online, but now Ubisoft has confirmed the existence of Assassin's Creed: Unity with a teaser trailer...
You may have only just finished up with the last Assassin's Creed entry, Black Flag, but in a few months an other title in the series will arrive, this time set in revolutionary France. This new title is the already leaked, but now confirmed Assassin's Creed: Unity.
Not all that much is known about the game officially, other than the setting, but it has been revealed that this will be a current gen-only edition. The Xbox 360 and PS3 will get a different, yet-to-be officially announced title instead.
“We have been working on the new Assassin’s Creed for more than three years and although we weren’t quite ready to show you our full vision for a next-gen only AC, it seems Abstergo are trying to force our hand,” said Ubisoft in a press release.
As you can see from the below alpha footage teaser, there's a new assassin, still with a penchant for hoodies, and the Parisian setting looks truly gorgeous. It all looks very CG, though, despite claims that it's in-game footage, so we'll have to wait an see what optimised, real world visuals look like when the game arrives this Christmas season.
