Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag stealth trailer
A new, stealthy narrated walkthrough for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag has been released...
Below you'll find another in-depth trailer for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (via IGN). This time the game's director, Ashraf Ismail, details the enhanced stealth mechanics, along with some examples of how being a fully paid up member of the Assassins can make you a better pirate.
The new underwater caves are perhaps one of the best examples of the need for stealth this time around, as Edward Kenway is forced to enter these caves from underwater using a diving bell-like contraption. With no weapons or armour, the odds are against him, and he needs to covertly avoid or dispatch his foes if he's going to survive.
Meanwhile, outside of these secret grottos, the open world Caribbean makes for a varied haven of stealth, with cities such as Havana offering more traditional AC roof-running and tactical approaches. You even get bonuses for assassination contracts if you manage to stay undetected, emphasising a more shadowy method of play. Luckily, Edward's Eagle Vision power can be used to see enemies through solid walls, giving him another edge over his foes.
The video also shows more of the open-ended structure and much more open areas in missions, including a jungle approach to a docked vessel, and an assassination with many possible plans of execution. We also see the new berserk darts in action again, used to cause foes to attack each other, and the next gen visuals offer far more detailed environments than ever before.
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag will be released on October 29 in the US and November 1 in Europe for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U and PC, and PS4 and Xbox One version will follow.
