Alternative uses for a Wii Wiimote
Gaye Birch
Bored with your Wii collection? Seeking fresh Nintendo entertainment? Then how about these suggestions...
Had your fill of shovelware? Determined to stay fat? Let that that Wii balance board continue to gather dust, set aside that Mario Kart steering wheel, and put your Wii to some better use.
Here are just a couple of, how shall we say, interesting, alternative uses for Nintendo's white wonder which we're guessing will invalidate your warranty.
Johnnny Chung Lee of the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University has worked tirelessly to make sure your investment in your Wii is great value. Below are two of his Wii Remote Projects videos:
Head Tracking for Desktop VR Displays using the Wii Remote
Tracking fingers with the Wii Remote
If these are far too much hassle, but you've still had your fill of games like Keith Chegwin's Party Quiz or the drastically awful port of Far Cry, and the seemingly endless surge of pointless and tacky Wii 'peripherals', then maybe you'd rather try to find the answer to the age old question.....
Will it blend?

Re: Alternative uses for a Wii WiimoteSeconded. Plus, is it me or Johnny sound strangely like Kermit, thus making him strangely hypnotic to listen to...? |
