Grand Theft Auto 4 coming to PC!
Simon Brew
After much speculation, the biggest game of the year is heading to the PC after all. GTA4 for Christmas, anyone?
The biggest videogame of the year is, it's been confirmed, in line for a PC release. Grand Theft Auto 4, which at last count had broken 6 squillion sales records on both the PS3 and Xbox 360, is following in the footsteps of San Andreas, Vice City et al, by following its console release by moving across to the PC. The PC, of course, is where the entire franchise started all those years ago, back when the Grand Theft Auto saga was a strictly 2D affair. You can chart the full heritage of the games here.
It had been assumed, given the negative vibes that the PC has been enduring as a gaming platform, that GTA4 wouldn't get a PC release, but it'll be out over here on 21st November (and three days earlier in the States). This is very good news.
You can check out our review of GTA4 right here. We liked it. A lot.
