Red Dead Redemption trailer

2004's Red Dead Revolver was a fine, if a little underwhelming title. It bore the usual quality Rockstar touch, but wasn't the GTA in the Wild West people were hoping for. Well, if this new trailer for the upcoming Red Dead Redemption is anything to go by, then not only will Redemption be far more akin to GTA on horses, but it'll also boast the GTA-style presentation, with some fine cut scene action and voice work, and a story that should play out like a classic western film.

As John Marston, a no nonsense gunslinger and bandit bad boy, you'll be on a mission to track down your old partner, and apparently, backstabber, Bill Williamson, in order to take him out (and not in the fine dining way, either). If not, ‘great harm' will be brought down on your family, which is never good, even for a six shooting badass. Now, them's fightin' reasons if ever there were one, so expect the lead to start a flyin' and the root to start a tootin' in no time.

The game isn't due out until April 30th 2010, so for now you'll have to cool your stirrups over this here purdy trailer. Y'all come back now!
