Resident Evil 6 gets Left 4 Dead
Capcom and Valve have announced a crossover for Resident Evil 6 and left 4 Dead 2...
Fans of all things zombie-slaying should get a kick out of this one. Capcom has revealed that PC owners of Resident Evil 6 are in for a bit of crossover action, thanks to an exclusive multiplayer mode for the home computer platform.
The new No Mercy mode will bring Left 4 Dead 2's four protagonists to Resident Evil 6's multiplayer, along with the Mini-tank infected, and the always terrifying Witch. The first-person zombie killers will also tackle Resident Evil 6's own nasties when they arrive in Capcom's world.
The Resi-bound crossover will arrive on April 5, and will be followed by another, this time within Left 4 Dead 2, which will play host to some of Resident Evil 6's foes, such as the Napad, Ogroman and Lepotitsa. These will function as special undead in Left 4 Dead's crossover jaunt, which will arrive later in the spring.
Sadly, it appears that no Resident Evil characters are going to make the trip to Valve's title officially, but users can create their own via the Steam Workshop. The good news is that both crossovrs will be totally free, and downloadable via Steam.
