BioShock Infinite’s new trailer takes the form of a mock-doc, and reveals some of the history behind the floating city of Columbia…

The release date for BioShock Infinite is getting closer, and despite the delays, the much anticipated title is still set to be one of the biggest of the year, even with other releases such as GTA V on the way.

BioShock and its progenitor, System Shock, have always packed in a great deal of back story and deep, immersive lore, and this time will be no different, as you can see from this great trailer.

Taking the form of a mock documentary, the trailer looks at the fictional floating city of Columbia from a factual point of view, and explores its creation, relationship with mainland America, and its impact on history, not to mention its sudden disappearance.

It’s a different take on the usual, CG-filled trailer, and it’s all the better for it. So, have a look for yourself below.

BioShock Infinite will be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on March 26.
