Aliens: Colonial Marines trailer
Sega’s Aliens: Colonial Marines has a new trailer, and it’s all about kicking ass…
We’re still waiting for a truly great Aliens FPS, and although Monolith’s Alien Vs Predator 2, and the more recent Alien Vs Predator from Rebellion were good, they still lacked that special something. Now it’s Sega and Gearbox’s turn to hold the motion tracker, and Aliens: Colonial Marines is looking mighty tasty.
Following on from the events of the Aliens movies, the games sees players return to the USS Sulaco and LV-426, and pits a detachment of hardcore marines versus cinema’s most recognisable alien antagonists.
This latest trailer shows off some of the hardware you’ll get to play with, including pulse rifles, smart guns, auto turrets and even robotic loader suits, and the attention to detail and authentic reproduction of the original subject matter could well be the best yet. Then again, it could also end up being all looks and no gameplay, so we’ll have to wait and see.
Aliens: Colonial Marines will be released on February 12 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, with a Wii U version still to be confirmed.
