The original BioShock duo will be released in a single pack, with some added extras…

With BioShock Infinite on the horizon, those who may have missed out on the original BioShock games may want to hurry up and get a move on, as you’re missing a couple of the best FPS titles of recent years.

The original BioShock was created as a spiritual successor to the PC classic, System Shock, and won award after award thanks to its sheer quality. The second game, whilst not as good as the first outing, was also a worthy FPS of anyone’s time, and now the two will be available in a single edition.

BioShock: Ultimate Rapture Edition will be released ahead of Infinite in January, and will include the original BioShock and the sequel, along with all of the DLC associated with them. The edition will also ship with a virtual BioShock museum, which will allow players to explore the history of the series.

The DLC for the two games includes the first’s plasmid pack and the Challenge Rooms pack, which was previously only available to PS3 owners, and the second game will have its Minerva’s Den, Protector Trials and Multiplayer bolt-ons.

BioShock: Ultimate Rapture Edition will be released in North America on January 14 for around $30 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but at the time or writing, no release dates for other regions have been announced.
