Thanks to a go ahead from Capcom, the fan-produced Street Fighter X Mega Man has been released on PC…

As part of the 25th anniversary of Mega Man, Capcom’s blue-tinted robotic super hero, Street Fighter X Mega Man has been released, and you can get if for free. Developed by Seow ‘Sonic’ Zong Hui, and featuring music from A_Rival, this mash up isn’t your typical Street Fighter crossover, and it’s been officially sanctioned by Capcom itself.

Keeping the style of classic NES Mega Man games, but rounding each level off with a Street Fighter character, this is a superb little homage to both Capcom series, right down to the themed stages and remixed music. Mega Man even gets to steal each fighter’s powers for himself, just as in the original series. Nice.

The game is for PC, and you can download it from Capcom Unity (link below). Please note, however, that the game is in very high demand, and server issues have been rampant, so you may need to be patient, or look for another source online.
