Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance trailer
There’s a new trailer for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, and it’s a showy display of high-tech executions…
Konami has released a new trailer for the long-in-the-making-binned-and-passed-to-another-developer Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, and this teaser focuses on the game’s combo system, as well as some of the stealthy actions, including brutal finishing moves, not to mention Raiden’s speed and evasive capabilities.
It’s all impressive stuff, and as it’s coming from the developer of Bayonetta and the hugely underrated Vanquish, it’s no surprise to see a generous helping of over the top manoeuvres, and some eye-dazzling visuals. It’s also interesting to see the freeform cutting system once again, as represented in what appears to be a Metal Gear Solid-style VR mission training section.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is certainly a different take on the traditionally slower-paced, tactical series, but with Platinum Games behind it, and with gameplay that looks like it could be every bit as good as fan favourite, Beyonetta, this may be one to watch next year.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be released February 19 in the U.S. next year, and February 22 in Europe.
