Ghostbusters game gets a trailer
Simon Brew
How long have we waited to hear the words ‘who you gonna call’ in a trailer again? Too long, too long…
Published on Dec 5, 2008
It’s had a troubled time getting this far, having been forced to find a new publisher when its original one was taken over. But with Atari now on publishing duties, the long-awaited new Ghostbusters videogame is going ahead, and it’s expected to be out in June. Which, not coincidentally, is the point where the original movie will be celebrating its 25th anniversary.
The trailer seems full of cut scenes rather than anything playable, but what they’ve shown us looks suitably smart, with the likenesses and voice talent of the original cast certainly coming across. Plus it’s great to see the Marshmallow Man in there, the original Ray Parker Jr soundtrack, and some nice script quips (written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis).
Catch the trailer, and don’t cross the streams, right here…
