Deus Ex 3: Human Revolution receives new trailer
The eagerly awaited sequel to Ion Storm’s magnificent original, Deus Ex 3: Human Revolution gets a cinematic new trailer…
There's more than a hint of Ridley Scott's Blade Runner about this new trailer for Deus Ex 3: Human Revolution, but that doesn't prevent it being one of the most visually striking videogame trailers we've seen in some time.
The original Deus Ex was a groundbreaking blend of RPG and FPS, allowing for a flexible approach to its gameplay that allowed for pacifism, cat-like stealth or full-frontal assault.
Set in a dystopian future full of augmented humans, the original Deus Ex, released in 2000, was also one of the most literary and intelligent videogames of its generation, with quotes and subtle allusions to authors such as Olaf Stapledon, G. K. Chesterton and Isaac Asimov.
And while the second Deus Ex game, 2003's Invisible War, didn't quite match the brilliance of the original, Human Revolution is still one seriously anticipated title, and could prove to be one of next year's biggest games when it eventually appears. Until then, enjoy this rather fabulous looking trailer...
If we hear any more on Deus Ex 3, we'll be sure to keep you posted.
