Heroes: Origins brings in the big names
Sarah Dobbs
Having successfully stolen Lost's status as the most talked about US TV show, Heroes has now dragged half the film industry into its omnipotent embrace...
Published on Sep 23, 2007
You might have seen some stories over the last week about Quentin Tarantino turning down the opportunity to direct an episode of Heroes. (He's quoted as responding with "What the fuck is Heroes?") But although the almighty chin might not be taking part, some equally high profile types have jumped at the chance.
Reactions around these parts are likely to be split. The two names Tim Kring has announced will be getting involved with Heroes: Origins are Kevin Smith and Eli Roth.
I'm cringing already, and I gave up on Heroes weeks ago.

I think, in terms of Hollywood, Kevin Smith and Eli Roth may be stretching the definition of 'big name'...
Unless, of course you're referring to Silent Bob's super-expandable waistline?
What the hell is QT getting snooty about anyway? I remember tainting my eyeballs with his wanky ER episode. The only reason I've ever watched that crappy show. It was still crappy.

I have never seen Heros but I recorded the first episode to season 2 the other night. Now I am going to rent the first season and go from there. Sometimes it is good to just wait and see what everyone is saying about a show before you commit to taking the time to watch it. For example, I tuned in to the new show Cane last night and I can tell you....borrrring. It won't last. Which is too bad because I like Jimmy Smits.
