Drugs in movies - the ultimate video

Savour Homer Simpson rushing his beer tits off during the guitar solo - or the final coke-encrusted 'Yeah!'

We don't condone drug taking but this DIY video for Feelgood Hit of the Summer is the coolest thing we've seen all year. Altogether now: Co-co-co-CAINE!

Published on May 24, 2007

One of the greatest things about the internet is seeing talented amateurs re-edit existing movie footage to create wonderful new pieces of cinematic genius.

This DIY video splices together scenes from over 50 movies and TV shows to the beat of Queens of the Stone Age's hedonistic anthem Feelgood Hit of the Summer.

The attention to detail is breathtaking - and not just the obvious visual matches for lyrics such as 'Nicotine, Valium, Vicodin, marijuana, ecstasy and alcohol'. Savour Homer Simpson rushing his beer tits off during the guitar solo - or the final coke-encrusted 'Yeah!' Nice.

Among the movies featured are Scarface, Human Traffic, Godfather, Pulp Fiction, True Romance, Withnail and I, Star Wars, Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas, Sideways, Goodfellas, Boogie Nights and Jackie Brown. Claire Morgan-Jones spent more than six months borrowing mates' DVDs and painstakingly putting together the 2 minute 45 second video.

If there is any justice in the world she will be rewarded with a million views and the offer of plum Hollywood editing gig.

At the very least Queens of the Stone Age should reissue the single and use this as the video. I can't wait to see it on the big screen at Glastonbury...

PS We identified 33 different film and TV shows. If you think you can do better post a comment and list them below. We may chuck a prize your way.
