Minutes after we post Lost speculation on this site, the official word on the show's future hits the streets. It hasn't made us any happier at all...

Yesterday, cleverly, we uploaded an article speculating on ABC's plans for the conclusion of Lost. Seven minutes later, they announced said plans, making us look either a) slap bang up to the minute, b) wrong or c) stupid. You choose, really.
The problem was our story was a little too kind. We speculated two more seasons, and now it's been announced that there are going to be three, albeit slightly shorter at 16 episodes a throw. That's 48 episodes in total left to go once this season reaches its conclusion. We really have just crawled over the half way point, and no more.

But then he’s moving onto the new Star Trek film anyway.
So, come the end of this season, there are 48 more episodes people! It’s all the excuse we need for one of our desperately hilarious articles about how to end the show. Further ideas will be posted on this site in the next week or so. And one of them we like very much…
