Juliette Harrisson

Juliette Harrisson is a freelance writer and ancient historian (with a PhD in Classics from the University of Birmingham). A lifelong Trekkie whose childhood heroes were JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis, she’s written a book (Dreams and Dreaming in the Roman Empire) but her ambition is to write another one some day, and this time make it one that people will actually want to read. At her personal blog, Pop Classics, she reviews TV, films and novels which use or otherwise mess about with the Greek and Roman worlds, posting musings that are equal parts academic ramblings and perving on hot vampires. She also reviews Star Trek: Voyager and The West Wing for Doux Reviews. For a truly terrifying glimpse into her soul, check out her Pinterest boards. You can e-mail her at j.g.harrisson@open.ac.uk.
